A French Bulldog is a type of bulldog, descended from an earlier English Breed that people know of today. This breed is classified as a non sporting dog. French Bulldogs known as Frenchies are active, muscular dogs, but, due to their short nose the active part of this particular breed is very limited. Each Frenchie varies in weight but is usually around about 28 pounds, they're known for their short nose, enormous ears with a round large head. Frenchies have an amazing coat that range in different colors, brindle, cream, fawn (light to dark), black, and pied (spotted mixes). French Bulldogs are a companion breed of dogs, they are very playful and active, love to cuddle, love being around people and usually get overly excited when they see their favorite people. French Bulldogs are very smart and may be hard headed at times. This breed seeks human attention quit often, this type of dog isn't one to be home alone for hours throughout the day. Human contact keeps this breed very affectionate and cuddly. Running and Hiking for this breed isn't very common due to there small nose it makes it hard for them to keep up with there body temperature and not over heat in warm weather which is very easy for them to do. Always keep them cool during warm weather, if they overheat it can be very dangerous for them. Low intensity activity is great for Frenchies.
